Registration is required. One form per child. For ages 5 and under!

Draw an outline of a colouring page, bookmark and/or a button template for the North Perth Public Library and get volunteer hours! 

Receive 8 volunteer hrs for one full outline of a colouring page, 4 hrs for a bookmark outline, 2 hrs for a button outline. Please use libraries, community, and/or exploration/adventure as the theme(s) for your creation. 

Must be completed outside of school hours and have already graduated grade 8. 

Colouring page must be 8.5x11 inches

Bookmark must be 2x6 inches

Button must be roughly 1.5x1.5 inches

Submissions can be dropped off in person at any North Perth Public Library branch, or digitally using this link. 

Please note: NPPL staff may use their discretion if adequate standards are not met in entries submitted. 

Bring the family to visit with different special guests each week! These are family friendly events happening at all branches that will be engaging, informative, and so much fun!

Spheroes, Ozobots, Cubelets.. Each week will be a different tech item for you to explore. Anything goes! Drop by to participate in some sweet tech activities, for ages 6+

Gather for a chance to read a book and complete the week‘s reading challenge. 5+, no registration required, just drop by. 

Listowel Branch: Wednesdays from 11am-12pm 

Drop by any time between 1-3 to make a craft! Each week it will be a new craft for you to get creative with! For ages 5+

Listowel Branch: Fridays from 1-3pm

 You talked, we listened! Join a D&D group and go on an adventure! Ages 9-12.

Please note, this is a meant to be sequential. When signing up, you should attend majority of the dates (or all).

We’ve made major changes! Check out this awesome new set up to our youth reading challenge.

Start your summer off by coming into any NPPL branch to get either a bucket hat or a tote bag. This will collect and display your accomplishments from the summer.

Next come the challenges!! For 8 weeks, we have different reading challenges lined up that are fun and easy! Challenges will be posted on social media, in our libraries, and listed here. For every week you complete, you will receive a badge to add to your hat or bag. Show library staff that you have collected 5 or more badges from the 8 weeks to be entered for one of three GRAND PRIZES!

Grand prizes are:

1st place: 3 person camping tent with 2 sleeping bags

2nd place: Adventure prize pack (worth $100)

3rd place: Adventure prize pack (worth $50)

(prizes donated by Dietz Financial in honour of Marilyn Manto) 

For ages 16 and under.

Winners drawn at random from entries from all NPPL branches.

Challenge begins July 2 and ends August 23

Please note: you can complete past weeks challenges. but not jump forwards. So have no fear if you have summer obligations, we got you!!! You can still complete past week's challenges and come into any library branch to collect your badge, whenever suits you!
