New Databases

In conjunction with our fellow Perth County Information Network libraries, we have made major switches to our databases. As of January 31, patrons will no longer have access to Mango and Britannica databases. Instead, we have added four new free databases. 

Pressreader gives you access to more than 7,000 publications of magazines and newspapers in different languages. You can also download and read offline! 

Pronunciator is our new language learning database. It has a complete selection of languages to learn, including American Sign Language and Indigenous Languages. 

CBC Corner has something for everyone! A kids section, an adult section for news, and then a language learning feature for English/French learners. 

Teen Health and Wellness is exactly what you may think from the title! It is a resource for our teens and tweens that discusses and answers real life questions surrounding health and wellness. Lots to look at and read, including a calming room!
